Cameron is an education leader with international experience within the UK and Middle East, including working with two UK prime ministers . At the UK Department for Education he was responsible for establishing the young apprenticeship programme, led the review of diversity in the curriculum with Sir Keith Ajegbo, and was part of the team that set up academies. Cameron was appointed director for strategy for the higher education council at the Ministry of Education Bahrain from 2011 to 2016, where he co-authored a national higher education strategy and the nation’s first industry-led graduate skills guide. In 2016 Cameron was appointed to his current role, authoring the transformation plan of the national university. He is a board member of Bett Middle East and a fellow of Oxford Strategic Consulting’s Gulf talent advisory board.
